Missouri Teachers Take Time From Summer Break To Grade MAP Tests

June 12, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

About 400 Missouri teachers are using a couple of weeks of their summer vacation to grade tests. Not just any tests. Walt Brown, the Director of Assessment with the State Education Department, says the teachers are scoring a portion of the Missouri Assessment Program – or MAP tests – that were taken by students in April and May. And, they’re doing it online. Nine school districts are serving as host sites for what officials are calling the scoring workshop. They’re in Columbia, Liberty, Lindbergh, Macon, Raytown, Rockwood, Sikeston, Springfield, and Webb City.
