Earlier this week, high school baseball players Scott Elbert and Lucas Harrell were taken in the Major League Baseball draft and on Thursday, both agreed to deals with their respective teams. Elbert, who was taken with the 17th pick of the draft by the Dodgers, agreed to a contract, which pays him a $1.575-million, signing bonus. He’ll play for the Dodgers’ rookie league team in Ogden, Utah. Elbert had a 0.52 ERA his senior season at Seneca High School. Harrell was taken in the fourth round by the White Sox.
