Three Missouri high school players were taken in day one of the Major League Baseball draft on Monday and two were taken in the first round. Interestingly enough, both first round picks—Seneca pitcher Steve Elbert and Sikeston second baseman Blake DeWitt—were taken by the Dodgers. Ozark pitcher Lucas Harrell helped the Tigers win the Class 3 state championship on Saturday. On Monday the White Sox selected him in round four.
