Greinke Pitches Well, Gets Loss

June 3, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

In his three starts, Zach Greinke has an ERA of 2.37. Not bad. In fact it’s the lowest of any starter in the Royals rotation. Unfortunately for Greinke, and ultimately for the Royals, he has a record of 0-1. He suffered his first loss last night after two no-decisions, despite pitching well. Greinke lasted seven innings and gave up just six hits and seven runs in a 2-0 loss to the Tigers. Brandon Inge provided the only runs of the game, when he hit a two-run homer off Greinke in the second inning. The Royals had nine hits on the night and stranded eight runners on base.
