Planned Parenthood wants a federal court to order a hearing on Missouri’s 24-hour waiting period law. That’s the law that says a woman must wait 24 hours after consulting with a doctor before she can have an abortion. The federal appeals court in St. Louis has lifted a restraining order keeping the law from going into effect. Planned Parenthood wants the court to send the law to the district court level where a hearing preliminary injunction can be issued blocking the law until a hearing is held.
