It’s not easy to wait six hours to finish a game that’s already started, but for Mizzou the wait wasn’t nearly as excruciating as it could have been. The Tigers jumped out to a second inning 7-0 lead over Baylor in their second round game of the Big 12 Tournament when the sky opened up and dumped sheets of rain on the field in Arlington, Texas. When the game resumed, MU continued to own the Bears and won 12-1 in seven innings. Cody Ehlers’ grand slam in the second inning produced the man-share of their early advantage. Pitcher Danny Hill gave up one run off five hits and struck out nine Baylor batters to get the win. Missouri advanced to the next round where they will face the winner of Oklahoma St.-Nebraska, which was rained out on Thursday night and will be played Friday morning. The Tigers improved to 36-20-1.
