The estate of Hall of Famer—and former Kansas City Chief—Mike Wesbster is suing the NFL’s retirement and disability plans. The suit claims that Webster suffered brain damage from head trauma he suffered in his NFL career, which spanned from 1974-1990. He applied for such benefits in 199, but was denied. Webster died in 2002 at the age of 50.
