The Legislature has approved Governor Bob Holden’s Jobs Now proposal, which he says demonstrates a commitment to build on Missouri’s economic momentum by creating jobs in the short term and by building a foundation for long term job and economic growth. The Jobs Now Act will allow local communities additional funding for job-creating construction projects. It also focuses on worker training programs and on enterprise zones which support targeted growth industries.
