Senator Jim Talent is calling the beheading of an American who was held captive by terrorists in Iraq … disgusting. The Pennsylvania man’s killing was videotaped by his captors and can be seen on an Islamist web site. Senator Talent says the people who committed this terrible act are from the same group of fanatics who attacked the World Trade Center. He says they have little regard for human life. Talent says the terrorist attack on Spain prior to the election in that country might have altered the outcome of the voting and led to the decision to have Spanish forces leave Iraq. But he insists the United States will not cut and run.
