Royals Shelled By Blue Jays

May 11, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The Royals were down early and never recovered in a 9-3 loss to the Blue Jays at Kauffman Stadium Monday night. Toronto jumped all over Royals’ starter Brian Anderson, scoring six runs in the first inning. Orlando Hudson hit the first of two home runs during that first-inning onslaught. He finished 3-for-4 with four RBI’s and three runs. The Royals trailed 8-0 before putting two runs on the board in the seventh inning with a home run from Juan Gonzalez and an RBI single from Benito Santiago. Anderson got the loss, dropping to 1-4 on the season.
