State Park Opens At Confluence Of Missouri And Mississippi Rivers

May 10, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

About 200 people have helped dedicate Missouri’s newest state park. The Edward “Ted” and Pat Jones Confluence Park is on almost 1,200 acres at the junction of the Missouri and the Mississippi Rivers. It cost $5.5-Million to develop it. The park is named for the late Investment company founder, Edward D. Jones, and his wife, Pat, who lives in Millersburg. They helped the State Park System buy the land for the KATY Trail. The State Parks System hopes to link the trail to the park someday.
