MU Wants Out Of Games, Iowa Not Happy

May 7, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The University of Iowa is not happy with Mizzou. MU wants to get out of two scheduled games against the Hawkeyes in 2004 and 2005 and schedule games with Arkansas St. instead. Iowa Athletic Director Bob Bowlsby said backing out of the contracted games would be “highly unethical”. Mizzou still plans on playing the other two dates in the four-game contract in 2007 and 2008 and is actively seeking replacement games for Iowa in the two games they don’t want to play in. The Tigers and Hawkeyes haven’t met on the football field since 1910.
