Those school dollars that had been withheld by Governor Bob Holden are making their way to school districts across the state, but most of that money comes too late for the remaining weeks of the current academic year. Tom Davis, the President of the State Board of Education, says most of the money will help in planning for next. Davis says this is the time of year that districts offer teacher contracts for the following year, so the money will help with personnel decisions. Davis says the release of the funds will not bring about an end to the problems that have been affecting so many school districts throughout the state.
