Maybe Kurt Warner will remain a Ram after all. Or maybe not. At a pre-draft press briefing, Rams head coach Mike Martz said there is no guarantee that Warner will be cut after June 1 and took blame for ambiguity in a conversation the two had this Monday. All reports on the situation have pointed to Warner being cut for salary cap reasons. While it still seems likely that Warner will be cut in about a month, Martz said there are a lot of factors that could lead to the team keeping him. The team is still in negotiation with starter Marc Bulger in hopes of inking a long-term deal. A snag in those proceedings could lead to Warner being kept on the roster. If he’s cut the Rams will have to absorb about $9-million against their salary cap over the next two seasons.
