KC Serial Killer Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

April 21, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

53-year-old Lorenzo Gilyard of Kansas City, facing charges in 12 murders between 1977 and 1993, has entered a plea of not guilty during an apperance in a Jackson County courtroom. Even as Gilyard entered his formal plea, investigators combed through other cases to determine whether more murder charges might be added to a case that is already the worst in state history. All of the dozen women Gilyard is suspected of killing were strangled, nearly all of them were prostitutes. Gilyard’s attorney says his client has maintained his innocence during their discussions.
