An updated state audit on the state’s Child Abuse Hotline finds improvements in processing calls but says the system still responds too slowly in some cases. State Auditor Clarie McCaskill’s review follows up a highly critical audit her office issued four years ago. Her staff has looked at more than 7,000 calls handled last June, then sampled 45 of those calls.
