The second season begins tonight for the Blues. After wondering whether or not they’d even get into the playoffs, St. Louis lost just five times over their last 18 games and earned the 7th seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Tonight, they’ll open up their best of seven series against the Sharks. This will mark the third time the two teams have met in the post season. In 2000, the Blues entered as the number one seed in the West but were bounced in seven games. ST. Louis got its revenge in 2001 by showing San Jose the door in six games. This season they met four times with each team winning once at home and once on the road. This is the 25th consecutive season that the Blues have qualified for the playoffs.
