Kansas City and the union representing its firefighters have reached a tentative two-year contract agreement. The deal, which must still be ratified by the firefighters, calls for pay raises averaging 4 percent for most union members. It also calls for average hikes of 2 percent for most senior firefighters. Members are expected to vote within a few weeks.
