In spring training baseball, Ray Lankford’s ninth inning single drove in the winning run as the Cardinals topped the Marlins 4-3. Lankford finished the day going 1-2 with two RBI’s. Marlon Anderson, who led off the ninth inning with a walk, scored the game-winner. Jason Isringhausen worked a scoreless ninth to get the victory. Jeff Suppan worked five innings allowing three runs off eight hits and four walks—he struck out two. The Cardinals improved to 12-10 in spring training. They play the Baltimore this afternoon. The Royals were off and will face the Angels tonight.
