NCAA Division–II Women’s Tourney Begins In St. Joseph

March 24, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

In St. Joseph, the NCAA Division II Women’s Elite 8 will kick off. This is the final year of the two-year contract between the NCAA and Missouri Western to have the championship on the campus. Traditionally, the NCAA will have the Elite 8 at one location for two years and move on. Henderson St. and Quincy will play the first game, Drury University is the only Missouri team in the field and they’ll face Seattle-Pacific in the second game. Drury is in just its fourth year of existence. Merricmack and Augusta will square off in the third game and the nightcap will pit California (Pa.) and defending champion South Dakota St.
