The Missouri Tigers’ basketball season came to a crashing halt in Ann Arbor, Michigan Tuesday night. Mizzou lost its opening round game of the NIT 65-64 to Michigan. After trailing 32-26 at the half, the Tigers erased that deficit and took a 48-40 lead with 9:58 to go. But the Wolverines slowly climbed back and took their final lead with a Chris Hunter jumper with 2:20 to go to give Michigan a 61-59 lead. Arthur Johnson played his final game in a Missouri uniform, scoring 26 points. Rickey Paulding, Travon Bryant and Josh Kroenke also ended their Mizzou careers last night. Paulding had 10 points, Bryant had nine points and seven rebounds and Kroenke scored four. The loss put an end to one of, if not the most, disappointing seasons in MU history. The Tigers were ranked as high as #3 in the national polls this season, only to miss the NCAA Tournament. They finished with a record of 16-14.
