The Blues moved into eighth place in the Western Conference with a 5-3 win over the Kings. St. Louis entered the game a point behind Los Angeles in the playoff race. Chris Osgood was in goal and stopped 31 shots to earn the 300th victory of his career. Petr Cajanek had a goal and two assists and Keith Tkachuk scored his 30th of the season in the victory. The Blues had to play without Chris Pronger, who was suspended for one game after a kicking incident against Calgary.
