St. Louis U. beat Southern Miss 52-46 in the first round of the Conference USA Tournament last night. The Billikens trailed by four at halftime, but shot 55 percent from the floor in the second half, and ran out to a 10-point lead. Southern Miss came back to tie the game, but Reggie Bryant’s 3-pointer with 1:57 to go put the Billikens ahead for good. Bryant finished with 13 points on the night. Phillip Hunt led SLU with 14 points. The Billikens face Memphis in the C-USA quarterfinals.
