The season ended on a heartbreaking note for the College of the Ozarks. Trailing 76-74 with no time left on the clock, Andy Baldwin stepped to the free-throw line with a chance to tie the game. After sinking the first shot, Baldwin missed the second, giving Cedarville (OH) a 76-75 win over the Bobcats in the first round of the NAIA Division II men’s basketball tournament. College of the Ozarks finishes the season with a 16-17 record. William Jewell College begins play tonight with a first round matchup against Maine-Machias. Tip off is set for 8:00. In the women’s tournament, College of the Ozarks opened with a 72-70 win over Goshen, and Evangel slipped past Dickinson State 54-52.
