The NAIA Division-II men’s tournament is underway at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. 32 teams comprise the yearly tournament just outside of Branson. This marks the fifth year that College of the Ozarks has hosted the event and its contract runs through the next two seasons. There’s a good possibility that the tournament will stay there beyond its current contract according to NAIA Championship Event Administrator, Scott McClure, “Next year about this time, we’ll start talking about an extension if everything works out. We’re very pleased, the NAIA is, with Branson and the College of the Ozarks. College of the Ozarks does such a great job of hosting this thing. It seems like every year they add a new wrinkle, a new twist to the tournament”. Northwestern College (IA) won the 2003 National Championship and is a 13-seed this year. College of the Ozarks gets an at-large bid for hosting the tourney and William Jewell College, of Liberty, is a four-seed. C. of O. takes on Cedarville University (OH) and WJC faces Albertson College (ID) in round one.
