MU Women Advance In Big 12 Tourney

March 10, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri women advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Conference Tournament with a 75-52 crushing of Oklahoma St. Junior center Megan Roney of Independence, scored a career-high 15 points to set the pace for four Tigers in double digits. Stretch James had the best all-around game with 14 points, nine rebounds and a career-high five assists. Tracy Lozier had 13 and La Toya Bond added 11 points with six assists. Surprisingly, the Tigers were able to play well despite an off night from senior Evan Unrau, who was held to a season-low seven points. The win upped Mizzou’s record to 17-11, as they get ready to face 8th-ranked Kansas State Wednesday night.
