Cards Lose, Royals Win

March 9, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The Cardinals’ spring training is off to a thud. They dropped to 0-6 this spring with a 6-4 loss to the Mets. The good news for St. Louis was the performance they got from starting pitcher Jeff Suppan. In his first outing in red, Suppan pitched three scoreless innings. The Royals were 9-3 winners over the Giants on Monday. Jimmy Gobble went three innings and didn’t allow a run. In the seventh inning, Angel Berroa hit a triple to break a tie and give the Royals the win.
