Blues Shut Out At San Jose

March 1, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The St. Louis Blues had no answer for Evgeni Nabakov on Sunday night. The Sharks’ goaltender knocked away all 24 shots he faced to shut out St. Louis 1-0 in San Jose. Meanwhile, Chris Osgood gave up an early goal in the third period to Jonathon Cheechoo for the game’s only score—he faced 18 shots on the night. The Blues continued to struggle on the power play going 0-for-4 on the man-advantage Sunday. Since taking over as head coach last week, Mike Kitchen has one tie and two losses and the team has been shut out over the last two games. St. Louis hosts Calgary on Tuesday.
