UMKC and SEMO Lose, Despite Two 28-Point Performances

February 20, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

Michael Watson’s 28 points weren’t enough for UMKC as they lost to Centenary 63-55. The ‘Roos dropped to 12-12 on the season and fell to 7-6 in conference play. Mike English was the only other UMKC player in double-digit scoring with 13 points. They were out-rebounded by the Governors 39-23…SEMO had a similar predicament. They got 28 points from Derek Winans but lost to Eastern Kentucky 84-81. The Indians are 10-14 overall and 4-10 in the Ohio Valley conference in the same boat. Derek Winans had 28 in an 85-81 loss to Eastern Kentucky. The Indians have lost four in a row.
