Hendrickson Begins Tenure As CMSU Baseball Coach

February 20, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

It’s a great job, but the expectations are as high as they could possibly be. Darin Hendrickson was named the head baseball coach at CMSU after Brad Hill led the Mules to the 2003 NCAA Division-II Baseball National Championship and left for the head-coaching job at Kansas State. Hendrickson spent the last four seasons as the head coach of St. Louis Community College at Forrest Park, where he led them to three Super Regional Appearances and one trip to the Junior College World Series. They were 155-74 in those four seasons. Hendrickson has also spent the last five seasons as the batting practice pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. The Mules open their 2004 season on the road against Central Oklahoma. CMSU was supposed to begin the season last weekend, at Ouachita, Oklahoma but bad weather killed the games.
