Children’s Trust Fund Asks For Help From Taxpayers

February 18, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

Income tax filing time is upon us and the Children’s Trust Fund of Missouri is asking taxpayers to help prevent child abuse. The Children’s Trust Fund is specifically targetting taxpayers who are getting back money. It’s asking that they mark a tax check off box on the Missouri Income Tax Return to donate a portion of that refund to the Trust Fund for its efforts to help prevent child abuse. The Trust Fund’s Paula Cunningham says it’s kind of like one-stop shopping in that by checking off the box the Department of Revenue takes care of the rest. This annual campaign is very important to the Trust Fund’s total funding. The check box is found on line 44 of the Missouri Form 1040 Income Tax Return and on line 17 of Form 1040A.
