Dale Earnhardt Jr. was the winner at the Daytona 500 on Sunday. It was not a great day for the three drivers with Missouri ties—all of them were involved in wrecks. St. Louis native Rusty Wallace—who is winless in 22 Daytona starts—was in the same crash as Fenton native Ken Schrader on lap 60. Schrader was done for the day, while Wallace’s crew repaired his car and he eventually completed 154 laps. Wallace finished 29th and Schrader was 40th. Joplin’s Jamie McMurray was 36th.
