Michael Watson poured in 26 points as UMKC beat Western Illinois 74-52 in Macomb last night. With the score tied 16-16 mid-way through the first half, the Kangaroos exploded for a 19-0 run to put it away early Watson was one of four UMKC players in double-digit scoring—sophomore Brandon Lipsey had 12 points, while juniors Carlton Aaron and Brandon Temple added 11 apiece. Watson currently ranks seventh in the nation in scoring with 23.1 points per game. The Kangaroos have won three straight and are 12-10 overall with a 7-4 mark in the Mid-Continent Conference. The Leathernecks fell to 3-21 and 1-11 in league play.
