MU Women Drilled By Baylor

February 12, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

In a game that Missouri head coach called “almost embarrassing”, the Missouri women’s basketball team were hammered 83-59 by 18th ranked Baylor on Wednesday. The Tigers shot 34 percent from the field and were out-rebounded 54-36 by the Bears. MU was able to cut Baylor’s lead to nine points with 11:29 remaining, but could get no closer. If there was any good news for Mizzou, it was the return of sophomore LaToya Bond who missed five weeks with a broken bone in her left foot. She scored nine points in her return. Evan Unrau had 14 points to lead Missouri, which dropped to 12-9 overall and 3-7 in the Big 12. The Bears are 18-5 and 6-4.
