Bond-Farmer Senate Race Being Watched Closely

February 12, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

A Washington, D.C.-based political newspaper believes the Christopher Bond – Nancy Farmer U.S. Senate race could be one of the top 10 Senate races in the country to watch. Roll Call says there are several factors that could make this a close race. Reporter Chris Cillizza says one is the fact that Bond has never received more than 53 percent of the vote in his Senate races. Plus, Cillizza says the nature of Missouri politics always makes the races here competitve. In addition, Missouri could be a major swing state in the presidential race, which might bring in the national parties. But he says Farmer still has a large hill to climb to knock off Bond.
