The St. Louis Blues extended their winless streak to eight games with a 5-3 loss in Edmonton Wednesday night. After trailing 2-1, the Blues got goals from Jamal Mayers and Chris Pronger two minutes and 48 seconds apart to make it 3-2. Ryan Smyth and Shawn Horcuff scored before the end of the third period to give the Oilers a 4-3 lead. Chris Osgood replaced Rheinhard Divis in the third period, but it wouldn’t matter. The Blues haven’t gone eight games without a win since 1992. The Blues face the Flames tonight in their final game before the All-Star Break.
