Poll Indicates Missourians Have Mixed Feelings On Performance Of State Government Officials

February 2, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

A statewide survey shows Missourians are strongly divided about their state government. The survey was done for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and St. Louis television station KMOV. 55 percent of likely voters surveyed rate Governor Bob Holden’s performance in office as “fair or poor.” 37 percent say it’s “good to excellent” But the Republican leadership of the State Legislature doesn’t come off all that well, either. 46 percent of those surveyed say Republican leadership has been fair to poor, 43 percent good to excellent.
