AG Calls For Crackdown For Meth Making

February 2, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

Attorney General Jay Nixon is calling for tougher laws and stricter sentences for people caught making and ealing in methaphetamine. Nixon has sent letters to members of the Legislature asking them to approve formation of a statewide grand jury that can be used to indict meth-makers and dealers, and to repeal a bill passed last year that eases penalties for people in the meth business. He also suggests the state use one of its prisons just to house people convicted of meth-related crimes.
