The Missouri Tigers will try to move a step closer to turning around their season as they travel to Boulder, Colorado to face the Buffaloes tonight. Mizzou comes into the game with an 8-7 record and a 3-2 mark in Big 12 play. Their task tonight probably brings back memories of last year’s 89-68 loss in Boulder last season. Freshman Thomas Gardner will be the starting shooting guard tonight after scoring 17 points in 21 minutes against Nebraska on Sunday. But head coach Quin Snyder was more impressed with the enthusiasm he injected on the defensive side, “Thomas’ emotion is big and I think we all have to be that way. It helps your team. It throws you into the game at an even higher level and I think it’s a necessity for your defense.” Mizzou went on a 29-2 run in the second half to beat the Cornhuskers 72-51. Colorado comes into tonight’s contest with a 10-6 record and a 2-3 mark in the Big 12. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 PM and will not be televised.
