Springfield-Ozark Gets "New" Ducks

January 23, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The independent baseball franchise in Southwest Missouri moved to Florida, but a new one team is on the way. The Frontier League franchise in Kenosha, Wisconsin will move to Ozark and become the new Springfield-Ozark Ducks. The Frontier League has 12 teams, including the Mid-Missouri Mavericks of Columbia and the River City Rascals of O’Fallon. The old Ducks, which began play in 1999, played in the Texas-Louisiana League.
