State Supreme Court judges hear arguments today on whether the conceal and carry law will be allowed to stand. A St. Louis Circuit Court judge on November 7th declared the concealed weapons bill approved by the Legislature over Governor Bob Holden’s veto unconstitutional. Opponents to the measure say the Missouri constitution prohibits concealed weapons and a phrase in the state constitution is what Judge Steven Ohmer cited in his ruling. It will now be up to the seven members of the State Supreme Court to decide the issue. Oral arguments will be heard today in Jefferson City. A decision by the court will come later.
