One thing was certain about the Blues’ roller coaster season—if they needed a win all they had to do was play Columbus. In four meetings this season, St. Louis came away with four wins. Last night they met in Columbus and that perfect mark came to an end. Manny Malhorta scored twice in the third period as the Blues fell to the Blue Jackets 3-1. Todd Marchant’s goal in the first period gave the Blues Jackets a 1-0 lead, but Chris Pronger tied it up at the 1:30 of the second period. Then in the third, Malhorta struck with his two scores against Chris Osgood, who stopped 27 of 30 shots. The Blues were 0-for-5 on the power play.
