Arbitration Process Begins For Pujols

January 20, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The price for Albert Pujols will go up dramatically and the construction of his price tag will begin today. Pujols is up for arbitration this season. Pujols and the Cardinals will submit bids declaring what they think he should earn in 2004. An arbitration date will then be set and the haggling begins. Both sides will try to construct a long-term deal before the arbitration. In three seasons in St. Louis Pujols has put together one of the most impressive starts in Major League Baseball history, hitting .334 and averaging 38 homers and 127 RBI’s per season.
