Missouri presidential candidate Richard Gephardt gets his first big test today in the Iowa caucuses. Latest polls show the St. Louis area Congressman and former Vermont Governor Howard Dean have been slipping in the closing days. A Des Moines Register poll published this weekend listed him fourth, with Massachusetts Senator John Kerry on top, then North Carolina Senator John Edwards, and Howard Dean ahead of Gephardt. It’s Gephardt’s lowest standing in the Iowa poll since July. He was leading in November.
