The Big 12 has suspended five players involved in brawl following last Saturday’s MU-KU women’s basketball game. MyEsha Perkins and Christelle N’Garsanet were both suspended one game. Both were already suspended by Mizzou head coach Cindy Stein as the Tigers fell to Nebraska 74-69, dropping to 9-5 on the season and 0-3 in the Big 12. The conference also suspended Kansas palyers Kandis Bonner, Larisha Graves and Tamara Ransburg for their part in the fight. Kansas freshman Laren Ervin received a public reprimand for taunting Mizzou players after the Jayhawks beat the Tigers 55-52. KU coach Marian Washington claims that members of the Missouri squad flipped their middle finger at the team and the band spit on them after the brawl was over.
