Education Department Finds Mix Of Good And Bad News In Review Of Test Results

The State Education Department has reviewed some test results and has decided 36 schools listed on its “failing” list are actually meeting standards. But 11 that had been listed as meeting standards are “failing.” The lists are compiled because of the federal “no child left behind” law. The Department says 1,046 of the 2,053 schools in Missouri meet required standards for progress in math and reading.
