Rams defensive coordinator Lovie Smith had his second interview with the Chicago Bears yesterday as they try to fill their head coaching vacancy. Smith’s only head coaching was in the early 80’s when he coached high school teams in Texas and Oklahoma. However, he has six years as an assistant with the Buccaneers and the Rams. “I think the only thing that people should really have a question about is that experience part and you can’t get it until you get your first head job.” The Bears are also considering Russ Grimm, who gained fame as a lineman for the Redskins and has been an assistant in Pittsburgh.
