A night after blowing a 3-0 lead and storming back to beat the Blackhawks 7-4, the Blues came out flat against the Canadiens and lost 5-2 on the road. Pavol Demitra and Mike Ribiero traded goals in the first period for a 1-1 tie. In the second period, Montreal exploded for three goals from Richard Zednic, Michael Ryder and Craig Rivet to make it 4-1. Chris Osgood allowed five goals on 28 shots to take the loss. The Blues have just three wins in their last 13 games.
