The Missouri Tigers kept with Syracuse for a while, but defensive woes led to a 82-68 loss to Syracuse. Mizzou trailed 43-40 early in the second half, when the Orangemen went on a 16-2 run to put the game away. Rickey Paulding scored 25 points to lead all scorers, hitting 9 of 20 shots, but hitting 2 of 11 three-pointers. Missouri was cold from the arc going 5 of 27. Hakim Warrick scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Syracuse in scoring. Craig Forth, Gerry McNamara and Josh Pace also scored in double digits with 18, 17 and 15 points. The loss puts Missouri at 6-6 for the season while Syracuse improved to 12-1. It also gave Jim Boeheim his 665th career victory, which moved him past John Wooden for 19th place on the all-time lost. Missouri will hit the road to face Oklahoma this Saturday in Norman.
