Federal court officials say restitution checks in the drug dilution case of former Kansas City pharmacist Robert Courtney will be mailed beginning next week. Cancer victims or their surviving family members will receive the checks. This marks the first time that patients of Courtney will receive money from the man who watered down their drugs. Courtney is currently serving a 30-year federal prison term for diluting chemotherapy medication meant for his patients and pocketing the money.
